All we need now is contributions from everyone else...

This was a special week. I was fortunate to be there to meet the second group of artists and partners, and they all enjoyed and gained the same experience as our group did. I'm sure this concept will continue and be a great success. Well done Eddie,John and Giancarlo!!

Great website, guys - congratulations. Back in mid-wintry NZ this all seems like a dream - a lovely, bucolic, carefree, well-fed dream! I'd recommend going back for a second week as you get special treatment and do different things (like Anghiari, Florence and Rome) and get to spend more time with the lovely 'boys' - John, Eddie and Giancarlo.I think we were very lucky to have found this special painting school. I must say this is the best website out there! I am so proud of it. I love to visit and see if there is anything new. I miss you all so so very much. I want to remind all of you that I am going next year the first week in September, if anyone should care to join me. I would love to see all your faces again. Well, I am sure you haven't gotten rid of me yet. I have lots of vacation time! lol. I think the site is just the perfect touch to our magical adventure together. I LOVE YOU ALL.

Have been looking over the web site again. It really is great. What a marvellous job Stephen and Alison have done for us all.Hope everyone in the U.K is safe, and none of yor families have been affected by the terrorist acts in London. You have all been on my mind the past few days. Love to everyone. Dianne

I've just updated the site to add some of Aline's excellent pictures and a couple more from John (including one of Alan). I've also corrected (I hope!) a problem where some of the comments were added to the top of the list and some to the bottom.

I wanted to thank you for going to so much trouble in creating this website. It's such a pleasure for Eddy and I to see the photographs and read the comments. I returned from Italy yesterday leaving another very happy group of people and wish I could have stayed to be with them for the whole week. I'm just really sorry I didn't meet you all in your week. I will be seeing Ivan this month (he's returning for the cooking) and Kate and Jessica are coming again next year and I will definitely make sure I'm in Italy then. I hope you've both had a good summer - it must seem like such a long time ago you were in Italy. I'm going again next week which I'm looking forward to.
Again, a very big thank you for creating such a wonderful website.
We are also developing a forum on our website so people can stay in touch with each other. I will encourage people to add comments to your website even though they went in a different week.

I am flying out on Saturday full of enthusiasm having seen the lovely pictures....art and photos! Any advice on paints etc to take will be gratefully received by this novice. Well done on the web site.

Estella. The week we went, people took a variety of stuff. Some of us did quite a bit of sketching, so pencils and smallish paper were needed. Most of us did some water colour but there was a lot of variety: some people were very minimalist but others had lots of colours. Some people took other media such as acrylics and pastels. Oils are probably not practical because of the drying time.
Personally, I used pencils and paper; a small water colour set which I could take with me on the 'visits' (I'd never tried painting 'on location' before); and I used acrylics for one bigger picture.
There are good art shops in some of the towns, so there are opportunities to buy stuff if you have forgotten something or get a sudden urge to try something different.
Not much help! Regards, Stephen
