Investiture as Suffragan Bishop of Dunwich

Cosmo Gordon by Divine Providence Archbishop of Canterbury Primate of all England and Metropolitan. To our well beloved in Christ the Right Reverend Maxwell Homfray Maxwell-Gumbleton Doctor in Divinity, Assistant Bishop in the Dioceses of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich and Archdeacon of Sudbury Heath Grace and Blessing -
We do accept and invest you Bishop of the See of Dunwich and we give you all benedictions and ceremonies as to the degree and office of a Bishop Suffragan are requisite to which Bishoprick you are presented to us by His Most Gracious Majectsy King George the Fifth by Letters Patent dated the twenty first day of September in the twenty fifth year of His Majesty's Reign. You having first in the presence of Us taken such oaths and made and subscribed the Declaration of Assent and the Declaration against Simony in this case required The Rights and privileges belonging to the Archbishop of Canterbury and the honours and dignities of the Cathedral and Metropolitanical Church of Christ Canterbury being in all things kept and preserved.

In witness whereof we have set our hand and caused Our Archiepiscopal Seal to be hereunto affixed on this fifteenth[?] day of November in the year of our Lord One thousand nine hundred and thirty four and of our translation the sixth.
