| William Gumbleton looks as though he out to be a child of John Gumbleton [J0014]. However, no baptism has been found. Certainly he seems to have taken on the job of blacksmith in Britford, Wiltshire, following on from John. This could imply they were father and son, but they might be more distantly related and William took on the smith's job because John had only daughters.
In 1735, he married Sarah Brogden, and they had 3 children before 1744. He died in 1785 and was buried at Britford. | ||||||||||||||
