Frances Charlotte Jarvis was the first wife of James Butler Colmer.
She was born in 1829 in Hammersmith Middlesex, the daughter of George Jarvis and Elizabeth, nee Kinton. The 1851 census shows Fanny Jarvis, age 22, as a schoolmistress in Hammersmith. She married James Butler Colmer in the Kensington Registration District of London in 1853. They had five children. In the 1861 census they were living at 4, Heath Street, Hampstead: she was aged 32 and he was a draper. She died in 1862. Thanks to Chris Rickards for information about the family |
