|Lydia Gumbleton was a daughter of John GUMBLETON and Elizabeth, nee ARNOLD. Lydia was born in 1840 and baptised on 23 August at St James' Church, Shaftesbury, Dorset.
In 1841, the family were living in Tanyard Lane, Shaftesbury but, by 1851, her father had died and Lydia, aged 10, was living with her widowed mother in Donhead St Mary: Lydia was then described as a scholar.
In 1861, she was living with her married sister, Anna Harris, in Donhead St Mary. She was working as a glover.
No later records (such as a marriage or burial) have been found for Lydia.
