John Ensor of Sherborne, yeoman
By this my last will and testament made the twenty seventh day of March
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and five, I John Ensor of
Sherborne in the county of Dorset yeoman Do give and bequeath my worldly goods
and estate in manner and form following. That is to say First I give unto my
daughter Elizabeth Ensor the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds and to my
daughter Rebecca Ensor I also give the like sum of two hundred and fifty pounds
to be paid them at the end of six months next after my decease by my executrix
herinafter named. To my daughter Mary the wife of of Mr Richard Francis I
give one hundred pounds to be likewise paid her by my said executrix at the
end of six months next after my decease for her own sole separate and distinct
use and benefit free from the intermeddling of her said husband and with which
he shall have nothing to do and for which her receipt alone notwithstanding
her coverture shall be a sufficient discharge to my said executrix. To my sons
William and Thomas Ensor [interlined]\and to my sons in law Richard Francis and Robert Gumbleton/
I give five pounds each over and above what I have already advanced them. And
to Mary my dear wife I give devise and bequeath all and singular my real and
personal estate, moneys and securities for money, goods, chattels, effects and
things of what nature or kindsoever and wheresoever the same may be, subject
nevertheless to the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses and to
the payment of the aforesaid three legacies to my said three daughters at
the time above appointed for the payment thereof. And I do herby appoint my said
wife whole and sole executrix of this my last will and testament herbuy revoking
and making void all former and other wills by me at any time heretofore made
iun witness whereof I the said John Ensor the testator have hereunto set my hand and seal
the day and year first above written.
Signed sealed published and declared by the said testator John Ensor as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request, in his presence, and the presence of each other have subscribed our mames as witnesses theroto.
