| Robert Gumbleton was a son of Robert Gumbleton of Ansty-in-Hilton, Dorset and his wife Sarah. He was baptised on 8 Nov 1725 at Hilton, Dorset.
His father died in 1731 and his mother in about 1732. He was subsequently (in 1734) represented in a court case relating to his claim on his late father’s estate. In 1754, he married Ann Morgan at \melbury Abbas, Dorset, and they had seven children. He died in 1790 and was buried at Melbury Abbas. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
