Will of Richard Gumbleton of 401, Goldhawk Rd,hammersmith, Middlesex.

This is the last will and testament of me Richard Gumbleton of Number 401 Goldhawk Road in Hammersmith in the county of Middlesex Gentleman I give and bequeath all my real and personal estate property and effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto my sisters Elizabeth Gumbleton and Maria Urmston Backhouse Gumbleton both of Hammersmith aforesaid spinsters and James Colmer of Downrew House in the parish of Bishops Tawton in the County of Devon Gentleman their heirs executors administrators and assigns upon trust after payment thereout of all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses to that my said sisters Elizabeth Gumbleton and Maria Urmston Backhouse Gumbleton shall hold occupy use and enjoy all and singular my household furniture linen plate china glass and personal effects for and during their joint lives and for and during the life of the survivor of them and from and after the decease of the survivor of my said two sisters upon trust to allow my niece Lydia the wife of the said James Colmer to use and enjoy the said household furniture personal property and effects for and during her life and from and immediately after her decease upon trust to sell realize and convert the same household furniture personal property and effects and to divide the proceeds thereof between and amongst all the children of the said James Colmer who shall be living at the time of the decease of the said Lydia Colmer in equal shares and proportions And I hereby give devise and bequeath unto the said Elizabeth Gumbleton Maria Urmston Backhouse Gumbleton and James Colmer their executors or administratiors all the rest residue and remainder of my real and personal estate property and effects upon trust to pay the interest dividends and annual produce thereof unto my said sisters Elizabeth Gumbleton and Maria Urmstn Backhouse Gumbleton for and during their joint lives and for and during the life of the survivor of them for their and her absolute use and benefit and from and immediately after the decease of the survivor of the them the said Elizabeth Gumbleton and Maria Urmston Backhouse Gumbleton upon trust to pay and apply the interest dividends and annual produce of such residuary estate unto the said Lydia the wife of James Colmer for and during her natural life for her own separate use and benefit and from and immediately after her decease to realise and convert the said residuary estate personal property and effects equally between and amongst all the children of the said James Comer who shall be living at the time of the decease of the said Lydia Colmer in equal shares and proportions And I hereby nominate and appoint the said Elizabeth Gumbleton Martia Urmston Backhouse Gumbleton and James Colmer joint Executrixes and Executor of this my will And lastly I declare that all the powers and provisions as to the appointment new trustees and their reciept of trust monies contained in 23 and 24 Vict. cap 145 shall apply and be applicable to this my will In witness whereof I have to this my will contained in two sheets of paper set my hand this fifteenth day of April one thousand eight hundred and seventy eight —Richard Gumbleton—Signed and acknowledged by the said Richard Gumbleton the testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us being present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses Thomas Braithwaite 3 Grove Place Hammersmith. Proved at London 5th April 1882 by the oaths of Elizabeth Gumbleton and Maria Urmston Bacckhouse Gumbleton spinsters the sisters two of the executors to whom admon was granted power reserved to James Colmer the other Executor.
