|Phalatias Drax was a daughter of Sir James Drax and his wife, Dame Margaret. Sir James Drax was a Barbados plantation owner who accumulated extraordinary wealth as a pioneer of the sugar trade in the English colonies [see Wikipedia].
In 1671, she married Thomas Gomeldon in London. In 1682, she was mentoned in the will of her mother, Dame Margaret Drax of Kensington. She died in 1678 and was buried in Sellindge, Kent.
