| Thomas Gomeldon was a son of William Gomeldon [H0002] and Elizabeth, nee Sanders [H0002a]. He was baptised in 1639 at the church of St Andrew Undershaft, in the City of London.
In 1671, he was married at Little Berkhampstead, Buckinghamshire, to Phalatias Drax, daughter of Sir James Drax and his wife Margaret. Thomas and Phalatias had five children before her death in 1678. At some point subsequently, he married Prudence Hullock, but she died in 1691. In about 1670, he bought the manor of Somerfield Hall, in Kent. In the following years there was a dispute over the ownership with Henry Heyman who had owned a one third share of the property, for which he had not been paid. In 1682, he was a beneficiary of the will of his mother-in-law, Dame Margaret Drax of Kensington. In 1683, he was involved in a financial dispute with Sir Thomas Scott of Scotts Hall, Kent. In 1693 the will of Timothy Bedingfeild, Gent., included a bequest "to my friend Thomas Gomeldon 20 guineas for a ring." Thomas Gomeldon was buried 30 May 1703 in Sellindge, Kent.
